Passive Components

Passive Components
Those  Components which do not required external source to their operation is called Passive Components.

    (A)Resistors
The Resistance are used mainly for two purposes , Namely controlling the flow of electric current and Providing desired Amounts of Voltage in Electronic circuits.
  1. Fixed value Resistor
  2. Variable Resistor(Adjustable)

    (B)Capacitor
Capacitors store and release electrical charge. They are used for filtering power supply lines, tuning resonant circuits, and for blocking DC voltages while passing AC signals, among numerous other uses.
  1. Fixed capacitors
  2. Variable capacitor(Adjustable)

(C)Inductor
An Inductor is an electrical component ,  which is manufactured with a Specified amount of inductance . The  Inductance is a measure of the energy stored in the coil in the form of magnetic field .
  1. Fixed inductor
  2. Variable inductor(Adjustable)

     (D)Transducers and sensors
Transducers generate physical effects when driven by an electrical signal, or vice versa.and Sensors  are transducers that react to environmental conditions by changing their electrical properties or generating an electrical signal
  1. Loudspeaker & Buzzer : Magnetic or piezoelectric device to generate full audio
  2. Linear variable differential transformer(LVDT) : detects linear position
  3. Flow meter : Detects flow in liquid or gas
  4. Strain gauge : Detects squeezing, stretching, twisting
  5. Accelerometer :Detects acceleration, gravity
  6. Hygrometer : To Measure Humidity
  7. Thermocouple : Wires that generate a voltage proportional to delta temperature
  8. Thermistor :Resistor whose resistance changes with temperature
  9. Bolometer : Device for measuring the power of incident electromagnetic radiation
